KDR is a longtime supporter of the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) and each year a proud supporter of the annual fundraiser Dining by Design in Kansas City. This year our Kansas City showroom was privileged to team up with esteemed interior designer John Rufenacht, who not only designed this spectacular table and chairs setting, he is a founding member of DIFFA KC. We teamed with two of our partner vendors, Century Furniture (Klismos chairs) and Kravet (fabrics from Lee Jofa and the Jonathan Adler Collection for Kravet) to bring John’s colorful designs to life. Beautiful fabrics from KDR appeared throughout other table designs, including the striking Manuel Canovas fabric used in designer Richelle Plett’s setting.

Members of the KDR staff, including owner Kevin Kenney, showroom manager Kelly Specht, and sales associate Leann Baker attended Saturday morning’s Conversations on Dining event as well as the Gala event Saturday night. We were in awe of the enthusiasm and creativity shown by this crowd and hope we have the good fortune to participate again next year.
