If walls could talk, and if they were papered in any one of this season’s new arrivals, those walls would speak volumes. They would speak of shorelines and subtle shimmer. They would speak of natural elements—limestone and sandstone, abaca, jute and sisal. And they would boast of bold pattern and fresh, of-the-moment palettes.

Design directors spend months, sometimes years creating and manufacturing new collections and we await their arrival eagerly each season. We would be remiss not to admit that the arrival of these new books and memos is a bit like Christmas morning—seeing the hard work of companies like Hartmann&Forbes, Cowtan & Tout, Arte, Chivasso and Phillip Jeffries come to life in a collection of exciting new pattern, texture and color. We give to you in this post, only a glimpse of their efforts in our preview of Fall 2014 wallcovering collections.
