Plaid, seen through the eyes of today’s textile designers, both pays tribute to, and reaches beyond its prepster persona. From the runways to the pages of this month’s House Beautiful, it seems I’m running across plaids (or tartans, as they say overseas) at every turn.
As the days grow colder (and a little icy of late, depending where you live), I could certainly take comfort in a warm, woven wool or cashmere blend. Which plaid speaks to your aesthetic? Modern plaids in vibrant Lagoon, Magenta, Purple or Flame like those found in Kirkby Design’s Spectrum collection, or iconic, traditional plaids from Brunschwig & Fils, Ralph Lauren Home or Colefax and Fowler?
