One of my favorite things about living in the Midwest is the anticipation of each new season. Warm days and budding flowers in springtime, plentiful farmer’s market finds all summer long and gorgeous leaves in the fall. And as cold days set in, I welcome the darkness that comes in early evening, curling up beneath the soft glow of lamp light with a blanket, a book and glass of wine.
