Marketing Assistant

KDR Designer Showrooms the leading supplier of luxury home furnishing products in the Midwest is seeking a Marketing Assistant to support our organization’s integrated marketing programs. Duties will include developing various marketing materials in collaboration with the Director of Marketing, social media management, some event planning, and handling general marketing activities. Your creative thinking skills and strategies will be an essential part in driving our brand’s narrative, enhancing our organization’s presence, improving communication with customers and encouraging business growth through effective campaigns.

Ideal candidates for this role should be creative and innovative, multimedia savvy, well-organized, detail-oriented and must be excellent writers and communicators.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Director of Marketing and Sales team on marketing strategy.
  • Helping identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Learning and working with various types of software for digital and social marketing.
  • Maintaining a marketing database.
  • Coordinating marketing events.
  • Perform essential administrative work that supports social media efforts Copy editing, publishing and promoting content.
  • Daily management of social pages with a focus on building quality audiences across platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Proficient using computers for a variety of tasks including Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience and knowledge of CMS, CRM systems, email marketing and web analytics is desired.
  • Excellent copywriting and copy-editing skills.
  • Highly organized and strong time management skills.
  • Digital marketing experience, related job or internship experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of design principles is recommended.
  • Knowledge and experience working in Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.

Minneapolis Showroom Sales Associate

KDR Designer Showrooms located at the beautiful International Market Square is looking for another talented member to join us in fabric, wallcovering and furniture sales. Put your education and creativity to work assisting interior designers in fulfilling their visions. Experience selecting and selling high-end products for home interiors is preferred. A degree in interior design or related field is preferred, but candidates must have a talent for design and a passion for fashion trends and styles. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Enthusiastic, friendly, outgoing personality and professional appearance.

Position offers a base salary plus incentives with a comprehensive benefit package including insurance, vacation and 401K.

Outside Sales Representative

KDR Designer Showrooms located in the beautiful International Market Square building, is seeking an experienced sales professional to call on the interior design and architectural community with prominent brands of decorative fabrics and wallcoverings.

The territory consist of the states of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa. Approximately 8 nights of overnight travel per month is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Executing a customer focused and project driven strategy to educate customers on the products that will best fit their projects.
  • Maintain expert level knowledge on the products and their application.
  • Stay abreast of current fashion trends.
  • Attend vendor sales meetings and related industry events.

Qualifications:

  • Must be comfortable in enthusiastically presenting products.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a friendly and outgoing personal demeanor.
  • Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter.
  • Requires exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Textiles or related.

Position offers a base salary, commission, car allowance, and complete benefits package.
